Creative Skill Camp Coaches for summer soccer camps 2010

ISSA creative skill camp coaches have been selected from the best street soccer coaches/demonstrators around Europe. The 2010 coaches are all International Street soccer Association trained coaches and have been undertaken the Creative Skill Development course as well as having experience of playing and coaching street soccer.

The fundamental difference between traditional coaching and ISSA coaching is that ISSA coaches encourage players to develop their own style by creating problems in game play and then asking the players to discuss and develop their own solutions. This process accelerates learning as the coaches role becomes less about instructing a player how to do specific moves but more in facilitating them to find new and better ways.

ISSA director of coaching Darren Laver says " When a player becomes the coach and the coach becomes the player the coach has done his job". This theory and approach ensures that the skills remain fresh and not dated. Players making the moves their own and discussing them in groups not only develops their ball control but also their social and communication skills.

Developing great people first and great players second is also a fundamental approach of a creative skill camps coach. We encourage players to take responsibility for their actions and not to be afraid of making mistakes amongst other themes.

You don't have to be a great demonstrator to be a good coach but it helps!! All of our creative skill coaches are not only great coaches but also exceptional street soccer players and fantastic demonstrators.

Coach Selection

Our coach selection program ran through January 2010 and April 2010. The chosen coaches have been training hard on the lead up to the summer of 2010 to make sure players receive the very best street soccer coaching at camp.

All applicants will have to attend a ISSA Creative Skill Development course and successfully complete the coach selection process.
